Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday told urban local bodies’ officials to be prepared for possible water logging in drains and roads in the upcoming rainy season.
Baghel instructed the officials to chalk out an action plan to prevent water logging in the urban areas. All necessary preparations have to be done to prevent any mess, he said.
He also called for setting up a flood control room in Raipur from where the situation could be monitored. It should function round the clock, he said.
The Chief Minister also instructed all Municipal Commissioners to be on the field each day at 6.00 a.m.
