Chief Minister Raman Singh has extended heartiest wishes to the public on the auspicious occasion of Buddha Poornima on May 25.
In his message to public, CM said that birth anniversary of lord Gautam Buddha is celebrated on Vaishav Poornima, and this auspicious occasion reminds us of the pious life journey of lord Buddha and his teachings about truth, non-violence, compassion, kindness, welfare and social harmony, which holds its relevance intact even after 2500 years.
Exemplary life history of lord Gautam Buddha also has its striking impact on the history as well as lifestyle of people in Chhattisgarh, which is much evident from the ancient monuments adorning the historical sites like Sirpur and Pachrahi, added Dr Raman Singh. On the occasion, CM has appealed people to follow the foot prints of lord Gautam Buddha and also prayed for the peace and prosperity of public.
