During the Vikas Yatra, CM Dr Raman Singh distributed power tiller, along with paddy bonus, to the farmers of Dhamdha, Ahiwara and Patan areas.
On receiving the tiller from the hands of the chief minister, the farmers of the area were seen over enthusiastic as they got the tiller at half rate of the market price. The market price of the power tiller is Rs1.5 lakh, but under the grant scheme of the agriculture department they got it at Rs70,000.
An enthusiastic farmer, Ishwari Prasad Deshmukh said that he was willing to purchase a power tiller for long, but every time shortage of money has come in the way. Now, like other big farmers, he could plow his land with the power tiller, he added.
The Chief Minister has distributed power tiller to Heeralal Deshmukh of Anjora village, Pardesh of Parsada village in Dhamdha development block, Ravishankar and Kusum Devi of Chettuan village and PN Patte of Patan.
