The demands that were raised in memo include; providing security to journalists, releasing of woman journalist Arti Vaishnav and quick investigation in her case, cancelling of FIR against Pramod Mishra a journalist of Baloda Bazaar and arrest of assailants who had attacked a journalist Ajit Vajpai in Bhatapara.

The memorandum further demanded that in case if any complaint is made against any journalist then a high- level officer should look into the matter and then based on merit or demerit FIR should be registered.
