Chhattisgarh is among the top States in the list of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ‘Social Security Insurance Schemes’, officials stated.
Chief Minister Raman Singh congratulated the citizens, concerned officers and banks at this spectacular achievement. About 40.11 lakh people have enrolled for the Rs12 annual premium till September 30, 2015, they stated.
The State is second in Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bheema Yojana. Chhattisgarh stood sixth in Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojana. The beneficiary will get RsTwo lakh as Accident Insurance. It is about 15.71 per cent of the total population of the State.
Goa tops the list of Accident Insurance and Tripura State stands second. About 8.99 lakh people got insured for Rs330 Prime Minister's Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojana .
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the schemes on May 9 in Kolkata. In a short period of time of four months, Chhattisgarh topped the list of performers.
