Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in a letter on Saturday urged union agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar to release the first, second and third installments of ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’ for those farmers who have not received it.
Baghel in the letter stated that while some famers of the state have received the benefits of the scheme while many others have not received it.
He said as per the scheme, every year Rs 6000 in equal installments should be received by farmers. Under which in the state till October 5, 2019, 18.16 lakh farmers family have enlisted, but among them only 13,77,437 farmers got the first installments while 4,14,028 farmers got second installments. Similarly, only 23,859 families of farmers got third installments.
The letter stated that all the details of farmers, including aadhar number, bank account details and other concerned details errors were counter checked and the first installment was transferred to account of 13,77,437 farmers.
Chief Minister urged that the remaining farmers who have not received the first, second and third installments be given the payments at the earliest.
