Chief Minister Raman Singh attended the last rites of Union Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development Gopinath Munde and paid homage with tearful eyes at Parali village in Maharashtra on Wednesday.
Singh went to Aurangabad in a special plane and thereafter to Parali village in a helicopter to attend the funeral of the late Union Minister.
He met the bereaved family members and expressed profound grief over his death on behalf of the people of Chhattisgarh. The final rites of Munde were performed with State honours in the presence of thousands of people with tearful eyes.
