Raipur: Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh on Tuesday appointed Padma Jain, wife of late Nemichand Jain, journalist, resident of Tongpal, who was killed by naxalites in Sukma district, as class IV employee in the government higher secondary school, Tongpal, on compassionate ground.
The chief minister, at the Vikas Yatra programme organised at Konta tehsil headquarters in Sukma district, invited Padma Jain to the dais and handed over the appointment letter and a cheque worth Rs 2.5 lakh to her. Member of Parliament from Bastar Dinesh Kashyap, Dantewada district panchayat president Jamuna Manjhi, secretary public relations Aman Kumar Singh were also present on the occasion.
