The Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) will ply 40 city buses between old Raipur and Naya Raipur during Champions leauge Twenty20 (ClT20) matches.
The decision was taken as an initiative to facilitate the people visiting Naya Raipur situated Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium to watch T20 matches from September 13 to 23.
RMC Commissioner, Avneesh Kumar Sharan informed that the buses will ply from Raipur to the stadium’s parking lot. Children below 6 years of age will not be charged while for rest of the passengers, Rs 5 will be fare amount for the bus journey.
Besides, RMC has been assigned the task of making arrangements of cleanliness, drinking water availability, street lights and fire-brigade service for the matches.
The Commissioner has delegated responsibilities to the officials concerned. RMC Additional Commissioner, Dr JR Soni has been appointed as a Nodal Officer to ensure making all the required arrangements.
