The meeting of Congress legislature Party (ClP) ahead of Chhattisgarh legislative Assembly’s monsoon session scheduled from July 11 to 19 was held here on Friday.
later on, a separate meeting of key Congress leaders was also held wherein discussions to step up party activities was taken.
leader ClP, TS Singhdeo, State Congress Chief Bhupesh Baghel, Dr Renu Jogi, Satyanarayan Sharma along with other party MlAs took part in the meeting.
Congress legislature from Sukma Kawasi lakhma, MlA Khallari Chunnilal Sahu, who are believed to be strong supporters of former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi did not participate in the meeting.
MlA Dr Prem Sai Singh due to health reason also could not participate in the meeting.
Meanwhile, Singhdeo informed that eight or nine issues have been identified on which adjournment motion can be brought however, considering the short length of session we would put priorities on three or four issues for bringing the adjournment motion, he said.
“We would also take up the judicial report on death due to sterilization, Augusta Westland chopper deal, revenue loss of about `844 crore due to interest payment, crop insurance, drought deteriorating law and order in the State and similar others,” Singhdeo said.
The Congress party would also bring up a private member bill for rights of media, he informed.
