Civil Society and NGOs can play key roles to ensure that each person is benefitted by government schemes. This will help people gain employment based on their skills, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister T. S. Singh Deo declared on Saturday.
He was interacting with members of the civil society and NGOs at his official residence at Raipur, states an official statement.
The Minister had detailed interaction with them in a bid to make them reach out to the remote rural areas of the state. The issues related to The Provisions of the Panchayats (Extension to the Scheduled Areas) Act, 1996 (PESA), Swachh Bharat and bio-fertilizers.
He laid emphasis on innovation and focused on upcoming work plans. He appreciated the role of social organizations for assisting the needy during the Covid-19 lockdown and unlock period. He urged them to continue with the good work.
