The Chhattisgarh government on Thursday has extended the date for filing of property tax and details in urban bodies till April 15, as special relaxation. The last date of filing of tax was March 31.
The Urban Administration and Development Department in a letter issued to all the district Collectors, Municipal Commissioners and Chief Municipal Officers that people should be allowed to deposit their property tax and related listings till April 15.
The order states that this would facilitate the maximum recovery of property tax and facilitate the citizens to file their taxes within the extended date, an official communication said on Thursday.
People can also file the taxes online.
