Collector OP Choudhary has announced to present a citation as a token of appreciation each to the five best performing Government schools in a bid to improve quality of education in the district.
Those schools performing badly would be provided necessary guidelines and assistance, he said.
Special attention should be given on the improvement of quality of education in the district and for that, it is mandatory for all the teachers and the students to be present in the schools on time, the Collector said.
While reviewing the works of Education Department here, the Collector directed the block education officers and block resource co-ordinators to take disciplinary action taken against absentee teachers.
Choudhary said that for improving quality of education, school activities should be according to the academic calendar and its regular monitoring should also be done.
He said that to provide better educational environment to the children in schools, all the school buildings should be painted with a uniform colour.
Choudhary issued instructions for the repair and maintenance and painting of all school buildings by next
15 days.
The Collector asked all the block education officers and block resource coordinators to ensure distribution of uniform and study materials to the children on time.
He said that on the attachment of any teacher or Panchayat teacher, without taking permission from the Collector or District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer, stern action would be taken against the block education officer concerned.
If any teacher is attached to any other office, he should immediately be sent back to his parent department, he said.
The Collector instructed the officials concerned to maintain quality of the ongoing construction works under different development schemes in the district. Action would be taken on finding any poor quality construction against those who were assigned the works, he said.
