The Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) will be seeking advice from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for ensuring foolproof security of the Mantralaya complex here.

In this context, senior CISF officials visited the Mantralaya and gathered information on various security aspects from senior Government officials about additional security measures required in the Mantralaya complex on Monday.

A meeting was held between CISF Commandant Pranit Chandra on Monday with NRDA CEO Amit Kataria at the NRDA headquarters here to discuss ways of securing the Mantralaya.

Kataria told Chandra during the meeting that Naya Raipur was being developed as Smart City and as such, the security of the Mantralaya needed to be tailored as per the standard procedures to meet new challenges.

He said that at present preliminary discussions were held with the CISF and soon a final shape would be given to the ways of   implementing suggestions put forth by CISF.

The CISF is the prime industrial security agency of the country, which has been discharging the responsibility of security of main government buildings, public undertakings, private industrial organisations, airports, shipyards, Bhilai Steel Plant, Gail, SAIl, NTPC and other major organisations in the country.

It has been providing services to 90 major organizations at present. It has also extended advice for the security of Parliament and Assembly premises of states.
