nThe Raipur district administration on Wednesday allowed theatres and cinema halls to resume operations but made it clear that masks, social distancing and sanitization will be mandatory.
District Collector S. Bharti Dasan provided conditional permission to operate multiplexes, cinema halls, theaters and others within the Raipur municipality and also outside in the district, an official statement said.
While making theaters and multiplexes functional, the operator should ensure that six feet of social distancing, sanitization at entry and exit points, wearing of mask and other Covid-19 protocol must be followed, the Collector said.
In multiplexes and cinema halls, visitors are allowed to seat only 50 percent seats, he said.
Even in closed spaces, the operator should have to run air-conditioners with temperature 24-30 degrees Centigrade. In their absence, cross ventilation must be allowed.
During entry, visitors must be thermally scanned, their hands sanitized and a distance of six feet must be maintained during the show, the communique added.
The Collector said people having Covid symptoms should not be allowed entry into theaters and multiplexes. Any such case must be immediately intimated to the district administration or government hospital.
In order to break the chain of Covid infections, the strict following of Covid protocol and Health Ministry guidelines are mandatory, the senior official said.
In case of non-compliance, strict action will be initiated by the administration as per the Disaster Management Act.
