The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has criticised attack on a Church by some youths recently on the outskirts of  Raipur city.

"The Sangh believes that the incident should be investigated and persons responsible for the act must be punished" stated RSS Sah Prant Sangh Chalak Dr Purnendu Saxena while addressing a press conference here on Thursday.

Notably, a Church located on the outskirts of Raipur city in Kachna locality was attacked and vandalized by a group of youths on March 6. The members of Christian Forum had alleged that it was the handiwork of RSS.

“Sangh believes that the incident should be investigated and strong action must be taken against the persons behind the act,” Dr Saxena said.

However, he also noted that there was some land related dispute with the place on which the Church was constructed.

Referring to JNU the incident and arrest of student Kanhaiya Kumar, he said that what happened in JNU is not the pure ‘leftist ideology’.

“During my school days I had seen the supporters of SFI criticize Pundits, Caste system and ‘Manuvad’ and  with the same intensity they also condemned Mulla-Maulawis and Nuns,” he said.

He further informed about few decisions taken at Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha held at Nagor in Rajasthan.

The Akhil Bhartiya Pratinidhi Sabha has expressed deep concern over the rise in the cost of health services and unhealthy lifestyle across the country.

We have decided to make people aware regarding healthy food habits, lifestyle, Yoga, daily exercise and cleanliness. Child vaccination and eradication of drug abuse are also on our priority list, he said.
