A large number of school children on Wednesday took out separate awareness rallies here to mark the ongoing ‘Clean India Campaign’ underway across Chhattisgarh.
The campaign is aimed at sensitising the people for keeping their surroundings neat and clean.Following the directives of Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) Commissioner Avneesh Kumar Sharan, separate awareness rallies were held on all eight zones level at this morning.The school children were holding placards and banners. They were reciting slogans for urging the people to contribute in maintaining cleanliness at public places.
RMC Commissioner Avneesh Kumar Sharan, Speaker Sanjay Shrivastava, RMC leader of Opposition Subhashchandra Tiwari, MlA (Raipur North) Shrichand Sundarani, RMC senior officials, Anganwadi workers, Mitanins, volunteers from different NGOs and people from all walks of life enthusiastically participated in the rallies that passed through main parts of the city.
