Chhattisgarh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CGSCPCR) is set to strengthen its bond with the concerned State Government departments looking into the child-centric issues across the State.
Official sources on Friday informed that the Commission has decided to hold a video-conference with eight key departments namely Women and Child Development, Education, Social Welfare, Sports, labour, Police and Civic Bodies on every second Tuesday of a month for the proper implementation of child rights and prompt action over the grievances of children.
However, the date of commencing this programme is yet to be decided.
Notably, it is probably for the first time that the Commission is adapting video-conference mode to keep in touch with its State Government partners.
“Children residing in far-off areas are often devoid of help from our side particularly in cases of ensuring their rights,” said a CGSCPCR employee on the condition of anonymity.
The video-conferencing between our Chairperson Shatabdi Subodh Pande, members with representatives of the eight Government departments will not only monitor but also help us in interacting, reviewing and coordinating with the schemes and related children,” said another employee.
The video-conference is being support by the NIC.
