Chief Electoral Officer Sunil Kujur on Saturday chaired a meeting of all District Collectors and District Electoral Officers to review administrative preparations in the backdrop of upcoming Assembly elections in the State.
Kujur directed the District Electoral Officers to ensure compliance to the Model Code of Conduct in their respective work areas, as soon as the dates for Assembly elections are announced.
Officers were also instructed to complete the preparations related to establishment of polling booths, formation of groups, and training programmes to be held, beforehand.
Moreover, the officers were also directed to conduct the process of addition, deletion and revision of voter-lists carefully, before publishing the final voter-list.
In the meeting, District Collectors conveyed the information about the poll related administrative preparations underway in their respective districts.
