Akhil Bharatiya Chhattisgarhi Yuva Manch on Saturday invited Chief Minister Raman Singh as chief guest of the ‘Chhattisgarhi Mahasammelan’ and ‘Yuva Mahotsava’ scheduled at Bistupur Gupal Maidan at Jamshedpur, in Jharkhand, on February 2, 2014.

People from Chhattisgarh have settled in the neighbouring Jharkhand State for about 110 years ago. In the course of time, the number of Chhattisgarhis settled in that State has swelled to about 5.5 lakh, an official Press release issued here on Saturday stated.

A delegation of Akhil Bhartiya Chhattisgarhi Yuva Manch, came from Sonari (Jamshedpur) Jharkhand, led by the Central president of the Manch, Pyarelal Sahu, on Saturday and called on Dr Raman Singh to invite him for the events.

Sahu informed the Chief Minister that the Manch had organised its first ‘Mahasammelan’ on December 23 last, in which about 22,000 to 25,000 people participated. This year the Manch has started preparation for the ‘Chhattisgarhi Mahasammelan’ and ‘Yuva Mahotsava’. The main objective of the Manch is to unite Chhattisgarhis settled in Jharkhand and to help in their social, financial and education development.

Singh praised the Akhil Bharatiya Chhattisgarhi Yuva Manch for its efforts and extended good wishes for the success of the programme. Chhattisgarh’s former Agriculture Minister Chandrashekhar Sahu was also present on the occasion.
