A total of 132 government, public and private sector organizations are showcasing farm techniques and products.

He said that for the last three years, the state government has continuously emphasized its work in the agriculture sector. The rural economy has been strengthened.

The issue of stray cattle had become a menace. Now, more than 8,000 Gauthans have been made to resolve the cattle issue in villages. They are now being cared for and protected.

Due to lack of production centres in villages, the overall economy in the state and country have been affected. It has also led to the drain of intellectual property.

Chhattisgarh has in the last three years deposited Rs 91,000 crores in the bank accounts of farmers. Farmers get one-third of the budget, he said.

He said the state has become the first in the country to procure cow dung, and value adding it in the form of compost and making various products, generating electricity and moving towards production of paint.

“No Chief Minister in the country has presented a budget in a suitcase made of cow dung. We did it,” he said.
