Keeping in view the threat from new Covid variant Omicron and ahead of Christmas and New Year, the Chhattisgarh government on Friday restricted religious and social gatherings to 50 percent of the capacity.
A circular by the General Administration Department to all Divisional Commissioners, Inspector General of Police, District Collectors and Superintendent of Police said the order has to be strictly followed.
Everyone has to follow Covid protocols and all other conditions imposed by the local authorities, it said.
