The Chhattisgarh Government on Monday declared March 24 as public holiday on the occasion of Holi.
March 23, has been declared as ‘Optional leave’ for Government staff and a circular in this regard was also released by the General Administration Department (GAD) Mahanadi Bhawan, Naya Raipur, according to an official press release.
Notably, earlier a notification was released on October 9 which had declared March 23 as holiday for Holi festival. However, it has been now amended and March 23 has been declared as ‘Optional leave’.
Officers informed that 'Holika Dahan' will happen on March 23 while general holiday for celebrating Holi has been declared on March 24.
