Chhattisgarh bans physical attendance of college students

Published on:

Chhattisgarh on Thursday banned the physical presence of students with immediate effect in colleges and universities.

The Higher Education Department issued guidelines for teaching, study and examinations for the academic session 2021-22 in all government, private universities and government and non-government colleges.

This has been done in view of the spread of Covid-19 infection in the state.

The first and third semester examinations of all courses should be conducted online, states the order. The Universities can issue detailed guidelines with approval from the Executive Council.

The conduct of all classes should be ensured through online methods. Instructions should be issued to the academic and non-academic staff to be present on the basis of the one-third roster method.

On days of roster duty, the teaching work should be taken by the academic staff from the college and on the remaining days from the residence.

Under no circumstances, the officer-employee without the sanction of leave and without the permission of the competent authority should leave the headquarters, it said.
