The State Government has announced an additional installment of 10 per cent in the 90 per cent Dearness Allowance (DA) currently offered to its employees.
An order to this effect was issued by the Finance Department while bringing the DA rate now to 100 per cent effective from January 1, 2014, according to an official press release issued here on Friday.
Earlier, it may be mentioned that the Finance Department on September 28, 2013 had approved the DA rate of 90 per cent for the employees having a pay structure under Chhattisgarh Wage Revision Rule 2009 is effective from July 1 , 2013.
The order stated that the hiked DA in the due salary of January 2014 would be made available with the February 2014 pay. However, the order will not be applicable on the staff of Univesity Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Techincal Education (AICTE) and those employees drawing salary from the ‘Contingency Fund’, it stated.
