Chhattisgarh's Congress in-charge Kumari Selja on Saturday appreciated the various government schemes saying they are all public   oriented.

She visited a Dhanwantri Generic Medical Shop, a Swami Atmanand English Medium School and a Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) accompanied by Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr Shiv Dahariya.

At the medical shop in Pt Jawaharlal Memorial Medical College here, she interacted with customers. They said the medicines were available as compared to other medical stores.

She met students of the Shahid Smarak Swami Atmanand English Medium Model School.

The students said they cover a longer     distance to reach the school.

One girl said she drives a moped to the school. She was politely told to use a    helmet while riding.

Selja asked the students about their post school plans. She appreciated the education imparted in      government schools.

Selja also visited the MMU where patients were lined up for treatment. Raipur Mayor Aijaz Dhebar briefed her that the unit reaches out to people in the capital.

Each vehicle has a doctor and nursing and paramedical staff. It has a laboratory which tests samples taken from patients.
