A cheating case was registered against some unidentified persons for sending fake appointment letters to residents of Mahsamund and Kasdol, police said on Sunday.
According to the police on July 30, Heeralal Sahu of Bagbahara, Mahasamund district and Heerakant of Paras Nagar Kasdol received appointment letters from the officer of Divisional Forest Officer Raipur. When the duo contacted the DFO office about the letter, they were informed that the letters were fake.
later both of them approached Moudhapara police station and got registered the case. Police has registered a case under Section 420 of Indian Penal Code and have begun the probe.
