Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday said he will discuss changes in the state cabinet only if the High Command takes up the issue.
Before leaving for New Delhi where he will meet party leaders Sonia Gandh and Rahu Gandhi on Tuesday, Baghel told the media at the airport that on Wednesday he will address public meetings at Lucknow, Lakhimpur-Kheri and other areas in Uttar Pradesh.
On changes in the Chhattisgarh cabinet, he said if the central leadership takes up the issue, then only discussions will be held. “Let first meet the leadership, then only I can talk about it."
On BJP registering its ire over the polls, Baghel said the frustration over the impending defeat in urban civic body polls was visible.
The real face of former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh had come to the fore "as the actual layer has fallen. The use of threatening voices by BJP leaders reflects the loss they foresee." he said.
On Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, he said: "Let it come before me."
Gehlot has sought Sonia Gandhi's intervention for giving clearance for mining in coal blocks allotted to the Rajasthan government. The letter states that despite repeated requests to the Chhattisgarh government, the clearance has not been given.
