A team of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) members led by its President Bhupesh Baghel on Monday visited Supebeda region of Gariaband district and met the persons affected by kidney ailment.
The CGPCC President also took note of the treatment and facility the victims were being provided in the region.
Baghel, accompanied by Chairman of the Medical Wing of CGPCC, Dr Rakesh Gupta also visited the homes of the affected and enquired about the facilities they are availing.
“The death toll was rising day by day and had reached 64 but still the State Government is a mute spectator”, they said. Even after the episode had reached alarming proportions no concrete steps have been taken by the Government,”, he said.
