The Chhattisgarh Housing Board (CGHB) is giving special discount offer to the State Government employees under the Mukhyamantri Karamchari Awas Yojana launched by Chief Minister (CM) Raman Singh in October.
Employees would get a 10 per cent discount in the home allotment amount fixed by the Government. As many as 9000 houses of CGHB are available at various districts, tehsils and blocks of the State, informed officials.
The allotment is to be done on ‘first come, first serve’ basis.
Interested individuals will have to pay the 15 per cent rate of the total allotment amount along with the application. The remaining 85 per cent will be provided to the employees through bank or other financial institutions through loan. Officials said if an employee is unable to pay the initial 15 per cent, they will be provided the funds from the General Provident Fund in their respective department.
The detail of the available houses has been uploaded at cghb.gov.in. Gariaband District Collector Niranjan Das said the publicity tools would be adopted to inform the benefits of the scheme to Government and semi-Government personnel. Das plans to call weekly meetings regarding the status of the progress in the work.
