CGBSE reduces pages in answer sheets booklet

The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has announced that in the current academic board examination, the main answer sheet will have 20 pages with a provision for 8 supplementary answer sheets.

The CGBSE Board examination for Class 10 and 12 in academic year 2020-21 is scheduled from April 15.

A communication by CGBSE on Tuesday said this was decided in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.

As per an earlier notification issued by the CGBSE, Class 10 and Class 12 students will not get any extra answer sheets during the examinations.

Class 10 students were receiving 32-page answer booklets while Class 12 students got 42-page answer booklets for mathematics and physics examination.

Generally, in the first sheet of the booklet, students will only fill personal information including subject, roll number and other details.

With the present order, now the number of pages will be a total of 28. Thus, the students will have only 28 pages to write answers, which implies they will have to practice the art of limiting the length of what they pour out, said an expert.
