School Education and Tribal Development Minister Kedar Kashyap on Wednesday announced the results of High School Certificate Main Examination (10th standard) and Higher Secondary Certificate Main Examination (12th standard) 2018 at the Office of Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) here.
It was the first time when results of both the examinations were declared simultaneously.
Kashyap declared the results by pressing the button of the computer and releasing the booklet.
The Minister congratulated all the students and wished for bright future.
He advised the students who couldn’t pass the examination to not get disheartened and work harder for the next time.
Detailed results of both the examinations are available on www.cgbse.nic.in and www.results.cg.nic.in, www.examresults.net, www.indiaresults.com and www.knowyourresult.com. In the same sequence, merit lists have also been released.
According to the results declared, result of 12th standard i.e. Higher Secondary School Certificate main exam is 77 per cent. 79.40% girls and 74.45% boys have passed this examination. likewise, result of High School Certificate main exam 2018 (10th standard) has been 68.04%, in which percentage of girls is 69.44% and that of boys is 66.42%. Total 2 lakh 73 thousand 13 students were enrolled in Higher Secondary Certificate Main Examination 2018, out of which two lakh 70 thousand 043 students participated in the exam. This included one lakh 31 thousand 234 boys and one lakh 38 thousand 809 girls. Number of students who have passed the examination is 2 lakh 7 thousand 111, out of which percentage of girls is 79.40 and percentage of boys is 74.45. Number of students who have passed with first division is 69100, second division 100518 and third division 36 ,732.
A total of 761 students have been declared as passed. As per the results, 29 ,104 students have been given eligibility to appear in supplementary exam. Results of 295 students have been held because of various reasons and results of 723 students have been cancelled. As per the orders of Chhattisgarh Government's School Education Department, 1014 students in sports, 173 students in Scout & Guides, one student in NCC, two students in NSS and 108 instructors of Sakshar Bharat Abhiyan have been given bonus marks in 12th board exam 2018.
In the Higher Secondary Profession Examination Year 2018, a total of 1859 examinees were registered, out of which 1849 appeared in exam. This included 1130 boys and 719 girls. Results of four examinees have been withheld/cancelled due to various reasons. Total number of students, who have passed the examination, is 1740, which 94.30% of the number of students who participated in the exam.
In the High School Certificate main examination 2018, total three lakh 88 thousand 566 regular students were registered, out of which three lakh 81 thousand 737 students appeared in the exam. This included one lakh 76 thousand 547 boys and two lakh 5 thousand 190 girls. Number of students who have passed the exam is two lakh 58 thousand 573, in which percentage of girls is 69.44 and percentage of boys is 66.42. In this way, the result of High School Certificate exam is 67.74%. Number of students who have passed with first division in 10th board exam is 939, second division 1 lakh 46 thousand 060 and number of students who have passed with third division is 16, 574.
A total of 26,227 students have been given eligibility for supplementary exam, while results of 653 students have been withheld due to various reasons. School Education Department has given bonus marks to total of 1766 students, including 1137 students in sports, 563 students in scout-guides, three students of NSS and 63 instructors.
