The Chhattisgarh Government has shifted IAS officer Dr Kamalpreet Singh from the post of Director, Health Services and attached him with the Mantralaya as Joint Secretary, General Administration Department ( GAD). The move comes following botched sterilisation incident in Bilaspur district resulting in the death of 13 women so far.
Dr Singh has been appointed as the Joint Secretary, GAD with additional charge as Director, Food and Civil Supply and Consumer Protection Department. As per the order, Dr Singh has been replaced by IAS
