In a major reshuffle, the State Government assigned new postings to 15 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers on Monday. As per the orders, the 2000 batch IPS officer AM Juri who was posted as Superintendent of Police (SP) Balod has been given charge of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Planning and Management, Police Headquarters (PHQ), Raipur.
SP Durg Anand Chhabra has been moved as AIG Naxal Operations, PHQ and was also given additional charge of State Intelligence Bureau (SIB). SP Surguja, Sundarraj P. had been made SP Rajnandgaon, while SP Kawardha RS Nayak will take charge from his counterpart in Surguja. likewise, 2004 batch IPS GS Darro, who was SP Balrampur, was made SP, STF (Administration), Baghera, Durg. Commandant Police Training School (PTS) Jagdalpur, JS Batti was given additional charges of SP, SIB, Jagdalpur and Home Guards.
SP Raigarh Rahul Bhagat was given charge as SP Kabirdham while SP Rajnandgaon Sanjeev Shukla will take the charge of SP Raigarh. AIG Admin/Rail/Traffic, PHQ, Sheikh Arif Hussain was given charge of SP Balod and place vacated by Hussain was given to SP Kanker RN Das. Further, 2006 batch IPS Mayank Shrivastava who was ADC to the Governor was given charge as SP Durg while SP Jashpur, Jitendra Singh Meena was handed over charge of SP Kanker. SP, PTS Mana, Neethu Kamal was made SP Intelligence PHQ; SP (Ops) Bijapur GS Jaiswal was moved as SP Jashpur and SP (Ops) Sukma Sadanand Kumar was given charge as SP Balrampur.
