For peaceful conduct of Assembly elections in insurgency-infested regions of Chhattisgarh, State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Subrat Sahoo and Bijapur District Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohit Garg received National Award at a function held in the national capital on Friday.
President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the officers with the awards on the occasion of National Voter's Day at a function held at Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi.
Union Minister for Law, Ravishankar Prasad and Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora were also present on the occasion.
