Ahead of counting of votes on May 23 of 11 parliamentary constituencies of the state, training was imparted to returning officers of all the constituencies on Friday at New Circuit House auditorium, Civil Lines, Raipur.
District collectors and district electoral officers of all the 27 districts, one assistant returning officer from each assembly constituency and deputy district electoral officers from all the 27 districts participated in the training programme.
Chief Electoral Officer Subrat Sahoo, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer U.S. Agrawal, Shrikant Verma, national level master trainer Pulak Bhattacharya and master trainer Manish Mishra apprised the trainees about various aspects of counting process.
In the training session, training was also imparted by fabricating a dummy model counting centre.
The Chief Electoral Officer, Sahoo while addressing the DEOs instructed them to expedite the preparations for counting process.
keeping in mind the sensitivity of counting centers, heavy security must be deployed, he said.
