Home Minister Ramsevak Paikra informed the Chhattisgarh Assembly on Tuesday that the Central Government has turned down the State Government’s request for a CBI inquiry into the Jheeram Ghati massacre by Maoists which occurred in May 2013.
In a written reply to Congress member Parasnath Rajwade, the Minister informed that the Central Government has conveyed to the State Government that the investigations into Jheeram Ghati masscare had been completed by National Investigation Agency (NIA). The State Government had moved a request for a CBI inquiry into the Jheeram Ghati massacre on March 29, 2016.
