The Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board (CECB) is going to observe ‘International Ozone layer Conservation Day’ in Raipur on September 16 this year.
On the occasion, speech and general knowledge contest will be organized for school and college students at new Circuit House from 10 am.
This event is going to be organized for raising awareness towards environment protection among students, a CECB press release informed.
The topic of speech competition is ‘Ozone layer depletion can be stopped with consolidated efforts’. Each participant will be given five minutes duration to speak on the topic.
In General Knowledge contest, participants will have to appear for a written test on topics related to environment protection of one hour duration.
Winners of both the competitions will be given first prize of `2500 cash, second prize of `2000 cash and third prize of Rs 1500 other than two consolation prizes of `500 each.
The prize distribution ceremony will be organized on the same day at new Circuit House at 4 pm.
