Election Commission of India Chief Election Commissioner Om Prakash Rawat along with two Election Commissioners is on visit to Chhattisgarh on August 30. He would be reaching at Raipur at evening hours.
He would be accompanied by Election Commissioners Umesh Sinha and Sunil Arora.
Keeping in mind the upcoming State general elections 2018 in Chhattisgarh, the Election Commission of India is holding a review meeting on August 31 at Civil lines based New Circuit House. During the morning hours, the Commissioners would be holding meeting with political parties. After which they would hold meeting with Chhattisgarh state Chief Secretary and Director General of Police.
This meeting would be followed by all the revenue divisional commissioners, Inspectors General of Police, Collectors, District Electoral Officers and Superintendents of Police. The meeting would specially would identify the preparations at the ground level. The ECI would then brief the media on the meeting. They would return to New Delhi on September 1 during morning hours as per the schedule released.
