Member of Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) Dr Shivnarayan Dwivedi on Wednesday said that he will meet Chief Minister Raman Singh and Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Union Ministry of AYUSH Shripad Yasso Naik for constituting national-level Ayurveda institution in Chhattisgarh region.
Dwivedi also demanded to permit private Ayurvedic medicine practitioners besides appointment of Ayurveda doctors in National Health Mission and regularisation in Government vacancies. Despite all efforts of the State Government, Allopathic practitioners do not like to join their duty in rural and remote areas of the State so the State Government must appoint Ayurvedic practitioners in these places, he said, adding that several Ayurvedic practitioners are rendering their services since last many years in remote and rural areas.
The State Government has successfully established engineering, medical, management institutions, and now, the State Government must constitute Ayurvedic institute too for which I will meet Chief Minister and Minister of State (Independent Charge) Union Ministry of AYUSH at the earliest, Dwivedi further said.
