Government high and higher secondary schools in Raipur will have one-day career counselling sessions every week for helping students to choose a suitable career, announced Raipur District Collector OP Chaudhary here.
He was addressing a workshop of all government high and higher secondary school principals held in a private school of Raipur recently.
“Principals have an important role to play in forming the future of their students,” the Collector said while urging them to pay special attention towards the overall personality development of students apart from studies.
According to the Collector, if students are provided proper guidance on right time then they can achieve any goal with ease.
He further said that one teacher in every school will be trained for career counselling who will inform students about Pre-Medical Test (PMT), Pre-Engineering Test (PET), and other competitive exams.
