A cancer patient undergoing treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, (AIIMS) Raipur has committed suicide, police said. The deceased was identified as Bhojkumar Sahu, resident of Rajnandgaon. Amanaka Police Station Incharge Bharat Bareth said, Bhojkumar Sahu (23) was receiving cancer treatment at AIIMS Raipur. He committed suicide in the intervening night of Friday-Saturday by jumping off the second floor of AIIMS Raipur building. Police had not recovered any suicide note. However, his family members informed that the cancer patient was recently operated and was passing through a period of unbearable pain after his surgery. He had developed infection. After autopsy, AIIMS administration handed over the body to the family members in the presence of police on Saturday.
