Campaign gears up in Rajnandgaon

With just days left for the parliamentary election, campaigning is picking up pace in Kawardha, Khujji and Khairagarh areas that come under the Rajnandgaon lok Sabha constituency from where the Chief Minister’s son Abhishek Singh is contesting.

While the office-bearers of the Bhartiya Janata Party were aggressively campaigning for the Chief Minister’s son in Khujji, party supporters in Kawardha organised a meeting on Saturday and pledged to ensure Abhishek’s victory by record votes. BJP leaders like Rajinder Pal Singh Bhatia are conducting extensive tour of Khujji for garnering more votes for Abhishek Singh. According to them, the Congress party has done nothing in the past one decade other than increasing inflation, corruption and scandals. The BJP party workers had organised a meeting where the strategy to ensure Abhishek Singh’s victory was discussed.  Speaking on the occasion, Premchand Shrishrimal and Ranjeet Saluja were of view that the Congress does not have the right for asking the people to vote for them as they (Congress) have not fulfilled what they had promised 10 years ago.

BJP mandal president Jaswinder Bagga said that Narendra Modi should be made the Prime Minister as he has seen poverty closely and also understands the pain of the poor people. Meanwhile, at a gathering in Khairagarh, Abhishesk Singh said, “You have two options. On one hand is development while on the other is destruction; on one side belief whereas other is corruption; on one side food security and on the other is inflation; one side employment and the other un-employment. It is you who have to take the decision.”
