The Central government gave Rs 9,000 crores to the Chhattisgarh government to procure paddy. First it should give the details to the people of the state, BJP General Secretary and in-charge of Chhattisgarh D. Purandeswari said on Sunday.

She is on a three-day visit to Chhattisgarh from Sunday along with co-in-charge Nitin Nabin.

Interacting with the media, Purandeswari said the BJP will not tolerate the injustice being done to the farmers. The government should provide an account for Rs 9,000 crores given for procurement of paddy and gunny bags.

She said the government is procuring 15 quintals of paddy per acre but BJP has been demanding that it be hiked to 25 quintals per acre.

Earlier, addressing the BJP office bearers, she said the party has to work among the people by standing with them. As the present government has failed to fulfil its promises, people will give the appropriate reply at the right time.
