The Chhattisgarh government has prepared a work plan to remove gender inequality among school children and to generate in them a feeling of self-pride and confidence.

An official communiqué said on Tuesday that at present the middle schools of Rajnandgaon and Dantewada districts have been earmarked as pilot projects to be implemented under the work plan.

The programme has been named “Self Esteem and Body Confidence of Students”.

Soon it would be expanded to schools in other districts too, the communication said.

The State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) with UNICEF support had started imparting training to master trainers in Raipur.
