C’garh works on ‘Ram Rajya’ in villages: CM

Published on:

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday said the Congress government is fulfilling Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of ‘Ram Rajya’ through the Suraji Gaon Yojana in villages.

He was addressing the inauguration of Rajiv Bhawan, the Congress party office in Arang, Raipur district.

Coming down heavily on the BJP, Baghel said that party seeks votes in the name of cow and Lord Ram. But the party never dedicates itself to serve the cow nor work on the ideology of Ram.

The state government is fulfilling the dream of Mahatma Gandhi’s Ram Rajya by concentrating on the overall development of villages, he said.

The state government is serving the cow but opening Gauthans in the last three years across the state. BJP leaders never visited Gauthans but just before the election they are searching for cows. It is all just for votes, he said.

On the chit fund issue, he said during the BJP tenure the Chief Minister and ministers were promoting chit fund companies. People invested in them. The companies took away the public money.

After the Congress came to power, efforts were made to recover the invested money from chit fund promoters by seizing their assets. Now, investors erre getting their money back.
