To encourage plantation in private land, the                 government is providing          50-5,000 free of cost plant saplings to farmers, he said in a statement on Wednesday. The farmers also get                    government aid to look after the plants.

Plants of amla, teak, mango, bamboo, sandal, miliya dubia, clonal eucalyptus, jackfruit, drum stick and custard apple were planted under the scheme, he said.
