Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said Chhattisgarh has emerged as a rapidly developing state. “Though there are challenges, the state has tremendous possibilities,” he said.

Baghel said this while attending the convocation ceremony of trainee Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Police Academy, Chandkhuri.

At the ceremony, 33 trainee DSPs of the 10th batch and nine trainee Deputy Superintendents of the 11tj batch took part in the passing out parade.

Addressing the convocation, Baghel said Chhattisgarh Police is competent and capable of dealing with any challenge. The Chhattisgarh government is committed to provide a safe environment to every citizen, he added.

The Chief Minister said that besides development, the society needs a strong security arrangement.

It had been a challenge to coordinate development and security arrangements in many areas of the state, "but our government has never turned back to take on such challenges", he said.

Thanking the police personnel for maintaining peace in the state, Baghel said: "Our police department is fully equipped and capable of dealing with all kinds of challenges."
