Seventy-six fresh coronavirus positive cases were reported on Sunday while seven patients were discharged after their recovery, Health Department officials said.
The total cases in the state have now gone up a thousand mark while the number of active cases stand at 803.
Raipur was the COVID hotspot on Sunday with 35 patients detected in the state capital.
Apart from Raipur, 13 patients were found in Durg, 9 in Korba, 5 in Balrampur, 4 each from Kawardha and Mahasamund, 3 from Baloda Bazaar, 2 from Janjgir and 1 patient from Rajnandgaon district, the officials said.
From Raigarh Medical College 7 patients were discharged, which included five from Jashpur and two of Raigarh.
