The Chhattisgarh government announced on Thursday that it has banned the cultural outfit of the outlawed Communist Party of India (Maoist) for one year.
The Chetna Natya Mandali (CNM) was declared outlawed with effect from August 16, an official communication said.
The Home Department issued a notification under the Chhattisgarh Special Public Safety Act 2005.
